History

Greater Sacramento has hosted four ongoing festival products around Tết (Lunar New Year) and Tết Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Festival).

A civic Hội Chợ Tết later moved to Elk Grove Park; from 2027 that park weekend is billed EGLNY (Elk Grove Lunar New Year). A civic Tết Trung Thu began in 2019 as a moon and family fair. A reboot is in the works, with the name Great Lantern Festival. Kim Quang Buddhist Temple stages văn nghệ around Tết. Vietnamese Martyrs Parish holds Xuân celebrations and, in some years, a parish-hall Tết Trung Thu.
